Out of the mouths of babes & others

So, a gal I know has a blog. Recently she had this conversation with her 8-year-old cousin, Sadie.

Sadie: Krystal, how many boys have you kissed?
Me: Ummm, none actually.
Sadie: Well, you should kiss one!

And in a comment, I wrote:

Haha. I can totally see my sister saying something like that to me, Krystal.

Me: So, Cami... (and then I tell her about church).

Cami(little sister): Did you see any handsome men?

Me: Maybe...

Cami: *GASP* (with a mischievous look on her face) :D Did you find yourself someone to love?Me: So, those chips over there look really good...

And another gal I know also has a blog. She posted about a 'rule' they have in their house. The 'rule' is that if you kiss a boy you've never kissed before you owe the rest of the family ice cream.

And in a comment, I wrote:

Haha! That's a super cute 'rule', Melanie!

I definitely think it's going to be used in our house! :D

Don't people say the darndest things sometimes? I've had numerous accounts where my youngest sister, she's 8, has said some pretty profound stuff.

The other day when I got home from church, she asked how it was. I said it was good and told her some things that happened. Specifically an encounter with a young man. Then I said I was tired and was going to go take a nap. She turned to me and said something to the effect of: 'You know what you're feeling?... (bit of a pause) ... You're feeling LOVE!'

:D I loves my little sister! Too cute.
