Blessed Weekend

I made it through the first week of school!
My class schedule did change a little bit but I've got my schedule down. My classes are blending together. I'm taking two computer classes, document editing, office procedures, English, and a religion class.
I LOVE my schedule! School's great, I'm staying ahead of my schoolwork.

I was able to go to the temple to do baptisms on Saturday. I actually went twice! Some friends were supposed to go with me at 9 a.m. but they overslept. My first time going to the Salt Lake Temple I was all alone. Scary! But it was good. The session went by way too fast. After getting out of the temple I contacted my friends that were supposed to meet me at 9. They apologized for not being there and we decided to reschedule. Originally we were just going to wait until sometime later next week but then we decided to just go back that afternoon. I'm so glad I went back.

The afternoon session was packed! A ward was there with a lot of youth so my friends and I got to sit in the waiting room for about twenty minutes. The Spirit testified of many truths to me during that time and I have some new goals to help me be even more worthy to enter the temple again.

We also got the chance to do confirmations in Spanish! It was so great. A few of the people in the baptismal session only spoke Spanish so a temple worker brought them into the waiting room, shut the door, and they did confirmations in Spanish. In the waiting room there was me, my two friends, and a few other people waiting to do confirmations. So some temple workers decided that they would just do confirmations in the waiting room. They only had the confirmation prayer in Spanish. But the Spirit was so strong! I LOVE the Spanish language!

We also had to wait a while to do baptisms. So the Spirit bore witness of even more truths to me and it was such a great feeling just sitting there knowing that I was worthy to not only be in the temple, but worthy to perform those sacred ordinances for people who did not have the opportunity.

Next time I go I will be taking family names!

I love it here. The beauty of Salt Lake is nothing like Alaska's beauty, nonetheless, it is pretty. I think the rooftop of the Conference Center is my new favorite spot. Up there I can see Utah's mountains. They don't compare to Alaska's but I can see mountains and, GASP, patches of grass and trees!

The heat is crazy hot but I'm doing good. I'm not sunburnt so I won't complain.

I hope everyone is doing great and has an amazing day!! :D
