I know a guy. He is pretty great. But he's one of those guys where you don't know how to take him when you first meet. I actually met him at orientation, back in September. We've talked some and had lunch together once. He actually had a thing for a friend (she didn't reciprocate) so I've just seen him as a friend.
But then.. we had lunch together on Wednesday, just the two of us. It wasn't planned. I was eating alone and he came and sat with me. Yes, there was awkward pauses. But most of the time it was.. comfortable.
Ha. Sometime during our conversation while eating he started talking in a funny accent. I can't even describe it but it was adorable. Most people would think that an accent is supposed to make you laugh, and it made me laugh. But the accent didn't detract from the conversation at all. And we didn't just talk about lame, simple questions. We talked about life. And he managed to still be serious with his fake accent. I liked that.
Also, something that I've kind of seen in the past with guys, but never to this extent, while talking with this guy I saw the real him. I saw who Heavenly Father wants him to be. And he's striving really hard to be that guy. And I really like that.
