"Can you guess what I'm feeling right now? I'm feeling full of gratitude. Thanks to all who helped with the car predicament today. Even if it was as simple as listening to what a dumb day it's been. I really am grateful for that. So thanks! :D"
That was my Facebook status before going to bed last night. Then I woke up.
The car still won't work. Grr. There's 2 sick kids. And I know if I stay around them I'll get sick too. Gah! I also get to take the city bus into town. At least I get to ride for free, though!
It'll be interesting to see how Sunday works if Tabitha and I don't have a car...
Camryn the car broke down on the side of the highway yesterday while Tabitha and I were on the way to the TVC building for one of her classes.
Was it the sparkplugs? Didn't seem like it.
Was it loose wires? There was at least one loose but it got reconnected. The car didn't start after that.
Would it start as soon as Dad touched it? No. Dad touched it. It seemed deader than a doornail.
Did we have to get it towed? NO! Thank goodness. Although, 2 state troopers did stop & generally when a trooper stops he ends up calling a tow truck. That's the last thing we want. Once upon a time, sometime last year, Tabitha's car was towed & when she got it back she couldn't drive it. The silly guy who towed her car was towing it in an interesting, non-smart way, and messed up the alignment. The End.
Therefore, Tabitha does not want her car towed.
We still don't know what's wrong with it. Eventually it will run again. We just hope sooner than later.
Well, I hope you all had fun with story time!
Silly car.
