One Year in the Branch

About this time last year I was the new girl in the Singles Branch.

Barely out of high school and shy, especially with the boys.

I can't remember who I was talking to but this time last year I had a conversation with one of the girls in the Branch about dating.

And she told me that it pretty much takes about a year in the Branch before you get lots of offers for dates.

Because the boys want to get to know the girls as friends first.

Totally true.

I'm approaching my year mark.

And I actually have 2 dates within the next week.

I'm looking forward to this time of my life, where dating will actual happen and it'll involve me! :)

Well, I have to pack up my school books now to go get ready for the first date.

Naturally, my first few dates will be with a guy friend that I've known for years and my home teacher. But my dating 'career' is starting! :)
